Yeah, you're right. Internet recruting tool….by the American born terrorist named Anwar al-Awlaki. He so happens to have radicalized the lowlife Maj. Hanson and underwear boy, and wouldn't you know it he's been hiding somewhere in Yemen for a good SIX years already. No secret there, bud. It's a (slight) possibility al-Awlaki doesn't utilize the ebays, but the claim is he works closely with Osama bin Laden. So it could be he uses carrier pigeon or some other courier.

Hack the hell out of the terrorist message boards and besides, I never implied that we should stop eavesdropping on the "chatter" (read again). I'll defer to CIA/CENTCOM to do the Whack-A-Mole.

Intel has picked up the vast amout of plots against the U.S. The p.c. crap in the Army let Nidal through. Underwear Boy benefitted from coming from a new angle – the Yemen cell thus showing us that new threat ( Nidal too, the Army ingnored evidence).

So ya, let 'em talk. That's why I used the term "chatter", that's the term intelligence agencies use. A relaxed opponent will reveal alot.

It's the "internet as recruiting tool" aspect that's the issue.

Google the following: "______ in government" putting in the name of any ethnic or other minority and you will find legions of organizations officially permitted to operate within government corridors, use government facilities for meetings, advertise meetings on bulletin boards, next to elevators, etc.

Nowhere have I been able to find anything remotely resembling "Whites in Government." I'm sure if such an organization appeared, it would be screamed down and the organizers might even find themselves fired.

They essentially teach these minorities, sexual orientation groups, gender-oriented groups, etc., how to game the system which, between the lines means "how to get ahead while sticking it to the man."

I've seen it operate blatantly – minority staffers get a pass on substandard performance – white staffers, meanwhile, have to pick up the slack and are rated on a different scale of expectations. It's a travesty.

So many white managers are petrified of saying anything in a performance review that might leave an opening for an EEO action that they consistently fail to rate everyone under their control equally. It's a travesty.

And I haven't even touched the once-cottage industry, but now a fully-fledged industry of "Diversity Training." I've had to attend these things on a regular basis. The syllabus reads like a guilt guide for whites.

So far, we gleaned the Fort Hood, TX terrorist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan who wound up murdering in cold blood 13 American Soldiers plus injuring 31 on American soil. The Christmas Day Panty terrorist Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab who was subdued by airline passengers in order to avert a horrific in-flight explosion over the city of Detroit, MI. The inexplicable loss of eight CIA operatives in Afgan on a U.S. military base no less, by the suicide terrorist Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi. The NY Times Square terrorist bomber Faisal Shahzad who thank God failed to activate a parked vehicle that was packed with explosives and could have potentially murdered and maimed thousands of civilians in the area. The Chicago, IL terrorist conspirator David Headley who helped scheme the murder of 166 people in Mumbai, India. Not to mention the hundreds of jihadist suicide attacks taking place in the war torn area of Afgan and Iraq, which seems to occur on a daily basis.

Point being, in this day and age intel agencies are generally overwhelmed with internet chatter and to date it appears connecting the dots has not made a significant impact. Not to say we shouldn't try, but disruption of their communications ops can create havoc and perhaps out of desperation mistakes will occur whereby the Armed Forces can take advantage.

In case you missed it last fall through early spring ~ Chinese government hackers staged a "here-to-fore never seen" attack against American business servers and computers.

Until that time, attacks of that magnitude had only been used against GOVERNMENTS! Cyber Security experts from all over the globe worked on, "Project Aurora," trying to deal with what had happened.

The last time I heard anything about it, they said that "untraceable" software had been implanted into systems, but had not been able to find it.
