Within months of his presidency the Russkies already had him sized up and: -kruschev embarrassed him badly in Vienna -bay of pigs loss -berlin wall went up (he talked big at the wall after they humiliated him by putting it up in the first place, unafraid) -commies gained much ground in other latin countries too, not just cuba -got us into Vietnam, already ordered assassinated of Diem to accelerate our involvement -Cuban missile crises brink of nuclear war He was only president for 36 months, what could go wrong?
