MyKu:

The real losers?
The Iranian people
when we kick their ass.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm always hearing how "Westernized" Iran "could be" - how they are just a few movements away from a revolution to form a more reasonable government. Blah blah blah.
As long as the people in these countries (N.Korea, also) leave dangerous pinheads in power, they are going to suffer the consequences. They need to realize it would be best for them to not have to have the United States fix it for them.
The other possibility is that washington and military complex are comprised of smart men eying iran all along. Unfortunately, irans strength is greater than what the american public is prepared for when it thinks 'mideast war'. to mitigate the intensity of the fight, we could set up 2 bases on either side of iran and fly bombing soirees back and forth 24/7. Iran falls, Syria falls, lebanon probably becomes a democracy. the israeli - palestinian conflict will resolve since hamas will be a puppet with no hand up its ass. checkmate
China prolly threatened to sell bonds. Let's face it, we are overextended militarily, financially and credibility-wise. The wolves smell blood and after years of us being number one, they are ready for their shot. As a capitalist, i don't begrudge them for competing. as an american, i can't accept us losing. there's a couple of possibilities. one is that washington and the military complex are compromised of the largest collection of idiots the world has ever seen. They have wasted years, lives and money chasing symptoms when iran should have ben the prize all along. my 12 year old son gets this. unfortunately, every time i see a picture of harry reid, i have to accept the fact that this is indeed a possibility.
The complete and utter disgrace we have as POTUS, and the disgust and contempt we as Americans have with Obama, is also mirrored in other World leaders. Believe me, they know he is incompetent, and is all talk and BS. Obama has done irreparable damge to America, and his legacy will be one of disgrace to America and the Freedoms we have fought so hard to keep.
I am concerned that our current foreign policy under Obama will definitely make us less secure. It’s already occurring as we speak. And I am seeing the bigger picture. America never proposed itself to be the country everyone should be afraid of. Even through good and bad policies throughout our history, America’s intentions served as personal security and the support of countries that turned to us for assistance. Regardless who may or may not be the “big kids now”, being the “kid everyone likes rather than the one everyone’s scared of” is way simplistic. The world thrives on a robust America, and in some cases, so do our enemies and those who don’t particularly care for us. This is where you and I agree to disagree. I do not subscribe to being a bully country, but I most certainly don’t subscribe to America being just average, slightly above and definitely not below average. I subscribe to a strong and prosperous America. And we can achieve that without being a bully. Consider the sourcea of that accusation.
The article I address is about Iran being a threat. It is real and it is something not for the timid in government. I suggest Obama’s approach to foreign policy is flawed in the manner in which he proved it through action and appearance. To Middle Eastern countries, that says more about a person’s integrity than we could ever imagine. And current events in America and surrounding, and how they are handled is a litmus test to government leaders throughout the world. To think we are not being watched closely and scrutinized for weaknesses is naive.
Hmm. Well now i'm not sure I understand your original post. Are you worried that our foreign policy under Obama is causing us to lose integrity and therefore making us less secure? If that's the case, I fear you're missing the bigger picture. America's day of being the big kid on the playground that everyone's afraid of is over. China and India are the big kids now. For us, best to be the kid that everyone likes rather than the one everyone's scared of. Or else we'll have no one to back us up when we get picked on.
